Membership in The Downtown Group (DTG)  requires the following:

1. Confirmation that the Black female lawyer is actively practicing in Harris County, Texas and its surrounding area and is licensed in good standing;
2. $35 membership dues (Discount Rate for 2024)
3. Sponsorship from a current DTG member to join the organization; and
4. Each member must serve on the host committee and coordinate at least one DTG Quarterly Luncheon every few years.

There are two types of luncheons: (1) The “All About us” Luncheon, attended by DTG members only; and (2) The “Legal” Luncheon, attended by DTG members and their guests. Some luncheons are pay-to-attend, others are sponsored by the employers of our members.  Information about DTG membership may be obtained from any DTG member.
